Hello, my name is Desley Aylward and I was born and raised in Regional Queensland, which inspired my passion for regional towns and communities.
After graduating high school I began my career in banking - during the era when banks valued their customers. This occupation provided me with a strong foundation in customer service, where I acquired the skills and knowledge to succeed. I purchased my first small business with my husband when I was twenty-three years old. For over two decades, we owned and ran our own businesses within the retail and hospitality industries. After selling our businesses and moving to Gympie in 2010 I pursued work in Local and Federal Government. I began my real estate career in 2015 and continue to enjoy working in this vibrant industry in the wonderful Gympie region.
Alongside my busy Real Estate career, I enjoy getting involved in local community events. I am an active member of the Gympie South Lions Club. You will see me every August at The Gympie Muster volunteering in the bar, as well as at the Mary Street festivals selling raffle tickets. I also attend other functions to raise money for Gympie South Lions who donate to local services and organisations, with a particular emphasis on Little Haven Palliative Care and like-minded groups.
